BIOGRAFÍA

SPANISH VERSION HERE

Juli Hernández is an Argentine singer-songwriter and performer from Corrientes, whose music captivates audiences through its fusion of Litoral folk traditions, visceral pop, and deeply emotional storytelling. At 18, he left his hometown and moved to Buenos Aires, where he began building his career from the city's streets and subway stations, performing for strangers while sharing his journey online. Over the years, he toured throughout the United States before returning to settle in Argentina in 2020. To date, he has released three solo studio albums, two live albums, and performed more than 1,000 concerts, among other projects.

His work stands out for a distinctive style that blends the intimate with the epic, the popular with the poetic. Juli sings with the urgency of someone who cannot remain silent, and his songs often function as mantras shared over a cup of mate: confession, memory, desire, politics, and spirituality coexist in every verse.

Among his most notable releases is Colibrí, a conceptual album that intertwines personal memories with some of the darkest years in Argentine history. Across three tours of the United States, he explored different sonic landscapes and emotional states while maintaining his unmistakable voice as the common thread.

In 2023, he received the Ibermúsicas Composition Award (Spain), combining artistic sensitivity with a strategic understanding of contemporary sound.

Most recently, he released his new single, La Canción Siguió ("The Song Continued"), a track that reflects his unique ability to transform raw emotion into universal beauty.

With every performance, video, and piece of writing, Juli has cultivated something akin to a movement: a community of listeners who do not merely follow his work, but see themselves reflected in it, finding healing and transformation through his music.

He is currently preparing new songs and a live show that combines music, performance art, and theatrical elements, set to be presented in cities across Latin America.

Juli Hernández is an Argentine artist, composer, producer, and singer-songwriter whose work belongs to the landscape of contemporary Argentine music, combining Argentine pop, indie, and Spanish-language singer-songwriter traditions. His songs prioritize attentive listening, strong lyricism, and direct emotional impact, creating a unique artistic universe within today's Argentine music scene and the broader world of contemporary Spanish-language music.

Throughout his career, he has built a discography that reflects his artistic evolution within Argentina's independent music movement. His debut album, Fuera de Casa (2015), marked the beginning of his journey as a songwriter, followed by Aleatorio (2018), where he deepened his personal exploration of Argentine pop and indie music. In 2020, he released his first live album, and in 2021 he unveiled Colibrí, one of the most ambitious and acclaimed works of his career. A second live album followed in 2022, further cementing his identity as a live performer.

His repertoire spans contemporary Argentine songwriting, including titles such as Sin Miedo a Costaneras, Caminar Juntos, Paragolpes, Vos Imagínate, Colibrí, Nunca Digas Siempre, Jueves, Domingo, Si Es Con Vos, Promesas, Sé Feliz, Quédate un Rato, Primera Opción, La Canción Siguió, Micrófono, Cuesta Ver Pero Hay Final, Quiero Que Hoy Sea Como Antes, Cero, and Veranillo de San Juan.

These are Argentine songs that explore relationships, contradictions, desire, memory, and the passage of time, carrying forward the tradition of lyric-driven Argentine songwriting.

Juli Hernández's music resonates with listeners searching for Argentine music to relax, drive, travel, share with friends, or accompany everyday moments. His work naturally fits playlists such as Mate & Road Trips, Argentine Barbecue, Argentine Indie, Modern Argentine Pop, Contemporary Rock Nacional, or Driving Songs. His audience often overlaps with fans of Kevin Johansen, Babasónicos, Jorge Drexler, Fito Páez, and other artists who balance poetic songwriting with popular appeal.

An artist from Corrientes, Argentina, with national and international reach, Juli Hernández is recognized as one of the notable contemporary Argentine singer-songwriters of his generation and as one of the most widely known musical figures to emerge from Corrientes.
